In Memory of Jeannette Belichick

The Bill Belichick Foundation is mourning the loss of Bill’s mother, Jeannette Belichick who passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Annapolis, Maryland. She was 98.

Jeannette Ruth Munn was born in Newberry, Ohio on October 23, 1921. She graduated from Newberry High School prior to attending Hiram College where she majored in language. She went on to graduate from Hiram College in 1942 and returned to campus in 1945 to teach Spanish and French. While working at Hiram College, Jeannette met her husband Steve Belichick who was the head football coach. Steve and Jeannette were married in 1950 and welcomed their only child, Bill, in 1952. In 1956 the Belichicks moved to Annapolis where Steve began what would be a 30 year career with United States Naval Academy football program.

Jeannette was a loving mother, grand mother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son Bill, grandchildren: Amanda, Stephen and Brian and three great-grandchildren, Blakely Belichick and Jaycee and Clarke DeSantis.
