This year, we celebrated five years of giving back to student athletes and athletic communities in need at our fifth annual BBF Hall of Fame Huddle with special guests Tony La Russa, Joe Torre and Jim Thome. Head Coach Bill Belichick hosted approximately 300 guests at the Seaport World Trade Center on Friday, October 12th. Super Bowl Champion Jerod Mayo served as our auctioneer helping raise funds for the BBF’s scholarship and grant programs and 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak, also a former Patriots player, was our master of ceremonies.
Although the Belichick Foundation focuses on football and lacrosse, this event featured a trio of baseball legends. Coach Belichick moderated a discussion between Torre, La Russa, and Thome with topics including the MLB postseason, conversations on the pitcher’s mound, and stories about their Hall of Fame careers throughout the years. The event raised over $200,000 for Bill Belichick Foundation, a record for this annual event!
We wouldn’t have been able to reach this milestone without our generous sponsors. Thank you to The Kraft Group, Putnam, Thorn Tax Law, Hingham Furniture & Design, Zudy Software, The Coughlin Family, Solect Energy, J.P. Morgan, Nash Pictures, DePrisco Jewelers, and Wheels Up for making the Huddle a huge success this year!
